Kimberly
Goodge,
Artist and Owner, ITS VIVID COLOR Studio.
Kimberly hopes that her online collection of art at itsvividcolor.com will provide you and others that spark and vivid feeling of passion for life within you.
Kimberly, born 1967 in Washington DC, and currently in Southern Maryland, has been developing and practicing her artistic skills for more than 40 years. In childhood her parents exposed her to many different international recognized artists’ works to grassroots crafters. Time spent at the Corcoran Museum of Art and the Hirshorn Museum of Modern Art exposed her to the works of the “Washington Color School” artists and the East Wing of the National Gallery of Art “Modern Masters” influenced her use of vivid color in her paintings. It is these childhood experiences that she draws on when creating her whimsical contemporary-modern style paintings.
Friends and family have always asked her to show her work publicly but only until recently due the encouragement of her husband has she done so.
Kimberly has created her own style by portraying metaphorical images. This stems from the belief that the beauty is in the eye of the beholder and she paints or creates images of what she sees every day. There is beauty in everything if we just look. So how is she different, because no one sees things quite the same way she does and she would like to share her perspective.
It is her hope that she inspires others to find the beauty that is around them, hold it close, and breathe it in.
